Note: You do not need a crimp tool if you’re ordering the wiring harness kit, which has the terminals already crimped on the wire. Crimp tools are only needed for the connector-only kits.

| Production Grade Power Connector Crimp Tool Rental |
$10/month
and $400 deposit |
Rent the special crimp tool required for power connectors. Do not use pliers or standard crimp tools with these pins. You will be charged $350 when the tool is shipped, and refunded that amount less $10 per month you kept the tool when it is returned in good condition. Note: you may receive a new or used tool. |
| Shop-Grade Power Connector Crimp Tool |
$75

There are differences between the production and shop grade tools. The production tool has a better mechanism for holding the terminals and aligning the wire before you crimp it. It also crimps down straight whereas the other tool crimps at a slight angle. The shop-grade tool requires you to take a bit more care when aligning the wire and the terminal before and during crimping. But if you do that right, both tools give you a good solid crimp. We always recommend using the right crimp tool to match the specific connector you are working with. Each connector has a specific crimp tool it is designed to work with. |
| D-Sub Crimp Tool | Crimp tool for D-Sub Machined Pins (Dynon, UPSAT, Garmin, etc..). These can be purchased at your local electronics supply shop or here; part #SAT-004. Note: These type of crimpers are for standard D-Sub pins only! For high density pins you’ll need to use the DMC crimper & appropriate positioners to obtain a solid crimp. |
