Vertical Power News

Here is what's happening with Vertical Power. To stay informed, subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of this page.

7.17.2018 - Vertical Power is headed to Oshkosh, and we can't wait to see you there! Our booth will be in the same spot as last year - Hangar C, Booth 3077. Jeff and Chad will be at the show all week to answer questions, talk about the VP-X and its numerous features, and meet with as many builders as they can. We're still moving forward with the PPS, and would love to talk with you and answer any questions about it at the show.

4.4.2018 - We can't wait to see everyone in Lakeland for another great year at Sun 'n Fun 2018! We will be in our usual spot, booth D-77 in Hangar D, right down the middle aisle. Chad and Jeff will be there to give demonstrations, answer questions, and update the status of the Primary Power System. Chad will also be giving a forum during the first day of the show in the forums building located west of the main entrance gate.

4.4.2018 - The 2018 Light Sport Expo in Sebring, Florida was a bigger success this year than most anticipated. This event is known as the "kick-off" show for the trade show season, and as long as the weather is good, this is a great show to begin the year. This is the third year Chad has attended the show to represent Vertical Power products, and the second year being there with a booth. The attendance numbers were up from previous years, and Chad was successful in circulating around the show to talk with the variety of LSA manufacturers in attendance.

4.3.2018 - In celebration of the first 100 years of the Royal Air Force, Group Captain Mark Manwaring – a Royal Air Force fast jet navigator – plans to break both British and World Speed Records for Circumnavigation of the Earth in a Class C-1-B aircraft - all while flying solo.

His flight is set to take off in August 2019, and we will be following along with his journey in our ongoing RAF Flight of the Navigator series. Click through to read the first installment.

4.3.2018 - As the iPad is utilized more and more as an elegantly simple and cost-effective primary display for experimental and light sport aircraft, you can count on the Vertical Power VP-X being a key part of your system.

Are you going to the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, FL? If so, be sure to stop by our booth in the indoor exhibits area. Chad Jensen will be on hand to demonstrate and answer questions about the Vertical Power VP-X Electronic Circuit Breaker System and the new PPS Primary Power System.

The PPS is a new, high-current power system for experimental and light-sport aircraft.

EVERETT, WA, July 24, 2017 – Astronics Ballard Technology, the industry-leader for reliable avionics databus interface solutions and world-class customer support, announced today that they will be taking reservations for the new Vertical Power Primary Power System (PPS) for experimental and light-sport aircraft at AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI. Show attendees can make a reservation for the new PPS for an opportunity to purchase one of the first production units, scheduled to be available later this year. The Vertical Power booth is in Hangar C, #3077...

Vertical Power had a successful presence at the Sebring show this past January. We were co-located in a booth with Levil Technology to promote the integration of the VP-X system with a tablet using an iLevil product.

Booth traffic was steady and we were able to talk to a lot of interested customers. We also enjoyed visiting with the many manufacturers that were present at the show.

Overall, we were very pleased with the show attendance and look forward to doing more of the smaller shows and regional fly-ins throughout the year. Be sure and stop by when we are in your area.

Sun 'n Fun is viewed as the kickoff of the show season, and this year's kickoff was a great one. There was a steady flow of people in and out of the booth all week long and it was great to see the show doing so well. Interest in the Primary Power System just keeps getting stronger and we are so excited to be closer to bringing the PPS to the market. Homebuilders, manufacturers in the LSA market, and even some kit manufacturers are showing interest in integrating the PPS as standard equipment in their electrical design.

We had a great visit with Mark and Conrad Huffstutler, the owners of the "new" Lancair company. They stopped by to learn more about Vertical Power. They are interested in putting a VP-X (or two) in each new airplane they produce. There is also interest in a PPS (or two) in each as well.

Peter Muller from Raptor aircraft also stopped by to check on progress. This company has "orders of interest" of over 900 planes (each including a VP-X on-board) and we couldn't be happier for them.
